Maggie is amazing. She actually cares more about your purchasing the right piano for your needs, than upselling you. I was looking for a particular mid treble presence, and then was conflicted about it. All of the complexities about purchasing a piano asserted themselves upon me. Sound, brand, touch, feel, size, delicacy, power, budget. She read my facial reaction, and encouraged me to follow my instincts. I asked her if needed to spend more money. She said, "No, this is the right piano for you. I saw your reaction." I believe her spiritual sensitivity is at play.

It appears that benevolence and caring about musical legacies that are left is important to her. Work with Maggie!!!!!!!! She is also kind and generous, and donated in loving memory of a fallen soldier she never met, my son in law to be. My daughter, family, and I were devastated. I highly recommend Maggie to anyone in the market for a piano!  I am fortunate that I connected with Maggie at the beginning of my search for a baby grand.  I had spent a few days on my own trying to figure out my options, and that was enough time to help me immediately recognize the value that Maggie was offering at our initial meeting.

Her line of questioning helped me to better understand what I was seeking in a replacement for my Baldwin upright. She encouraged me not to have bias towards any particular instrument or brand until I understood my preferences for sound (tone, color, brightness, richness, etc.).  She is patient with the process of discovery and has a wide variety of both new and used pianos to try in her inventory.

I was impressed with Maggie's professionalism, in-depth knowledge of the industry (historical, current and future trends), and desire to understand my personal needs and budget.  She saved me hours of research and shopping around.  She accommodated my bringing my husband and kids to help select the final piano and was so gracious and friendly.

Maggie is a delight to talk with. There are so many options when purchasing a piano and she helped us understand the different sound from different manufacturers. She was also patient with us in answering the many questions we had and tried to understand our purpose of why we want a piano. With our background in music and technology, this lead us to looking into the Roland GP609 digital piano. Great experience purchasing our Baldwin upright from Maggie. Had a couple of trips. Their inventory does turnover which is good sign so if you see something make a down payment while you decide.

I had a great experience with Maggie at Houston Piano Company. I visited her twice over the course of a year... Both times she was very courteous, very knowledgeable, and most importantly was very patient with me. Deciding on a piano is not easy, but she certainly made me feel at ease. I agree with the other reviews of Maggie. Firstly, the size and amount of inventory was great. There were several different models and makes, which for me was an 'ear' opening experience to hear the sound that can come out of another brand of piano (outside the Big 3-4). The show room was clean and well cared for, indicating the pianos are cared for a great deal, so you know you are getting a quality product.

Maggie talked to me about what i was looking for, showed me around the entire store and had me try pianos i wasn't sure about. She took her time with me and left me to play a while to see if the instrument was a fit. She came back to check on me, gathered more info and introduced me to other options. It was great! She knew the pianos and brands well and could direct me to an instrument that fit my style of music. She explained to me the difference in sound and quality and broke me of my preconceived notions of what the 'best piano' is.

The sales process was easy and all details were outlined. Service is also great, I've started to use Maggie's preferred tuner (by ear). Finally, we made a match - went with a 7'3" Feurich, it is glorious! Thanks Maggie!

I rarely write reviews but I think Maggie has actually EARNED it. On a scale of 1 to 5, She gets a 10. She came through without any hitches. Initially, I was quite apprehensive about buying a piano thinking I might have to do a lot of window shopping and tests to get a piano that was specifically tailored to my son’s needs. When a piano technician who is very knowledgeable referred us to Maggie Pollio, I didn't hesitate to call right away.
She was super customer-oriented, never pushy and patient. She went above and beyond to make sure my son and I were SATISFIED. Maggie was very resourceful as she recommended and promptly called all the resources she had and got us a brand new white grand piano, which also came at a great price. We bought a high end player piano just in time for the holidays. When I first started researching Pianos for my home I naturally was drawn to both the Yamaha and Kawai brands. Mostly because they are well know brands. As I learned more about what makes a piano different and where they are built I decided to purchase an upright 48″ Kawai in late 1990 over the Yahama. I felt the Kawai was a better built piano and I liked the sound better than the much brighter sound of the Yahama. Enjoy the music!
